CORONAVIRUS: One New Positive Case Identified in Monaco

The Principality's health authorities were informed on Saturday 28 March that the analysis of a sample proved positive for COVID-19.

This therefore brings the number of people affected by the Coronavirus to 43, including one person who has now recovered.

The Prince's Government also regrets to announce that a person in hospital has died following severe cardiac distress, having tested positive for COVID-19.  This person, an octogenarian, who was not resident in Monaco, had been admitted to intensive care at the CHPG on 25 March.

The Prince's Government wishes to extend its full support to this person's family in these trying times.  This is a moment of great sadness, which demonstrates the importance of continuing to take action and respecting the precautionary health measures set out by the Prince's Government.
