Agreement signed for the transfer of historic documents from the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace to the National Archives
On 17 July 2025, Benoîte Rousseau de Sevelinges, Director of the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace (CHPG), and Michaël Bloche, Director of the National Archives, signed an agreement to transfer part of the hospital’s records to the National Archives, where they will be permanently preserved using expert conservation techniques, and may be put on display.
The documents transferred include minutes of the hospital’s board meetings dating from its creation in 1904 to 1979, along with various financial records from the 1930s to the 1950s, covering part of the Second World War period. There are also hospital staff records from the 1950s, and documents dealing with the creation and running of various hospital departments, dating from the late 1930s to 1979.
This first transfer of historic documents from the CHPG is the culmination of several years of cooperation between the two organisations aimed at modernising archiving methods.
Other organisations that have entrusted their historic documents to the National Archives recently include the National Council, Monaco Scientific Centre (CSM), and the RAMOGE Agreement.
