Keep winter viruses away !
As the holiday season nears, the Prince’s Government would like to reiterate the importance of staying alert to winter viruses.
The holidays are a time of sharing and family gatherings, but also mark the return, every year, of respiratory illnesses like flu and colds, along with viruses that cause gastroenteritis. To keep the festivities fun, remember to use essential, yet simple barrier measures to limit the spread of infections:
- wash your hands several times a day,
- cover your mouth and nose when sneezing,
- use disposable tissues,
- wear a mask if you have symptoms.
The Prince’s Government also reminds the public that vaccinations against Covid-19 and/or seasonal influenza* are still available.
To do so, either:
-
- contact the Monaco Screening Centre located at Princess Grace Hospital by telephone (+377) 97.98.83.02. to make an appointment (Covid-19 vaccination only).
- make an appointment with your GP at their office or at home if you are unable to get around.
- or go to a pharmacy in the Principality.
*Free of charge for individuals covered by Monegasque social security funds.
