Communication from the Prince's Government on the Anti-Pass Demonstration of Saturday 11 September
According to a count carried out by the Police Department, between 450 and 500 people, 15% of whom were children, took part in the demonstration initiated this Saturday by those responsible for the Facebook group "Manifestation pacifique contre le pass sanitaire à Monaco" ("Peaceful Demonstration against the Health Pass in Monaco"). Participation was down 40% compared to the demonstration held on Saturday 4 September.
The Prince's Government reiterates its determination to continue to work tirelessly to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, which it has been undertaking in conjunction with the Health Authorities since the beginning of the pandemic.
The Prince's Government intends to pursue its vaccination strategy and invites the population to be vaccinated.
To date, 26,451 people, i.e. 76.82% of the population aged 12 years and over - the population currently eligible for vaccination - have received at least their first dose.
Vaccination is the most effective way of protecting oneself against the pandemic and therefore of continuing the effective recovery of the Monegasque economy.
