The Monaco Fire and Emergency Service receives the Chief of Staff of the Southern Defence and Security Zone in France
The Monaco Fire and Emergency Service met today with Inspector General Jean-Yves Noisette, Chief of Staff of the Southern Defence and Security Zone in France. Among other things, this defence zone is an operational crisis management tool. Tasked with operational monitoring and sharing information at the national and departmental levels, it coordinates civil security operations and the allocation of ground and air resources.
In the presence of Colonel Tony Varo, Supreme Commander of the Military Force, Lieutenant-Colonel Maxime Yvrard, Chief Officer of the Service, presented the Service’s flag before inspecting the Fire Guard. The Inspector General then attended the presentation of the Company and visited the Event Management and Emergency Operations Centre (CGECOS) along with the different General Staff offices.
A lunch was later held at the fire station in the presence of Patrice Cellario, Minister of the Interior, and Christophe Prat, Director General of the Minister of the Interior.
The Chief of Staff was able to view the various vehicles and technical resources used by the Monaco Fire and Emergency Service before attending a working session during which they discussed the conditions of an operational partnership between the Monaco Fire and Emergency Service and the Southern Defence and Security Zone to handle civil security issues.
