Diplomacy: New Ambassadors accredited for Georgia – Algeria – Saudi Arabia – Luxembourg

On Friday 6 October, Mrs Marie-Catherine CARUSO-RAVERA, Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations, represented the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation to receive the following guests at a lunch held at the Hotel Hermitage: H.E. Mr Gocha JAVAKHISHVILI, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia, H.E. Mr Saïd MOUSSI, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria,
H.E. Mr Fahad M. AL RUWAILY, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and H.E. Mr Marc UNGEHEUER, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. 

These diplomats presented their credentials to HSH the Sovereign Prince during the morning.

H.E. Mr Gocha JAVAKHISHVILI holds Degrees from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris III (European Humanities) and from the International Diplomatic Academy of Paris (International Relations). Since October 2021 he has been a researcher at the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Georgia. He previously held the post of Cabinet Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and for eight years was Deputy Head of Mission of the Permanent Representation of Georgia at UNESCO. He is now the Georgian Ambassador to France and at UNESCO.

H.E. Mr Saïd MOUSSI has a Degree in Advanced Studies in the Globalisation of the Economy from the University of Lille III and is the author of a thesis entitled ‘The Economy of Development’. He was the Algerian Consul General to Paris from 2019 to 2021 before taking up the post of Algerian Ambassador to Madrid. Since 2022, he has been the Algerian Ambassador to France, Andorra and at UNESCO.

H.E. Mr Fahad M. AL RUWAILY holds a Degree in Diplomatic and International Studies from the Institute of Diplomatic Studies in Riyadh and a Masters in International Politics from the Free University of Brussels. He began his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia in 1990. He is Director General of multilateral relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Lecturer at the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies and the Ambassador for Saudi Arabia to France.

H.E. Mr Marc UNGEHEUER has a Degree in International Relations (Paris Institute of Political Studies) and two Masters Degrees, one in European Law and the other in Business Law (Sorbonne, University of Paris). He began his career in 1988 in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Over the last 20 years, he has been Ambassador for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Singapore, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan. Back in Europe, he was Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, before taking up his post as Ambassador to Austria.

Since August 2022, he has been Ambassador for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to France and is the Personal Representative of the Prime Minister at the International Organisation of La Francophonie.
