F(ê)aites de la Danse returns to Place du Casino at last - 8 and 9 July 2023 – Place du Casino – Monte-Carlo
Once again, the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the Prince’s Government and the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer are joining forces to put on a very special event entirely dedicated to dance. The public, artists and dancers will mingle throughout the Casino district, with a particular focus on the famous Place du Casino, which will be transformed into a dancefloor unlike any other in the world.
Conceived by Jean-Christophe Maillot, Choreographer and Director of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the concept for F(ê)aites de la Danse seeks to involve spectators directly in the event and get them dancing, freely and free of charge, for one night. The first festival became a reality in 2017 and on the back of its success, the event is returning with a dazzling programme, starting at 6 pm on 8 July and continuing until the following midday.
Nearly 250 artists will be joining the dance to offer the public an unforgettable experience. The programme will feature a dance marathon, a dance hall, a giant barre, introductory workshops to world dances, a flash mob, a choreographic performance, an open-air disco, orchestras, ballroom dancing, inclusive dancing, a DetOx morning and more, making this a great artistic and festive occasion.
There will be popular, high-quality food options available in various locations around Place du Casino, in the style of a huge picnic, designed and coordinated by chef Philippe Johannes, Director of Monte-Carlo Catering culinary events for the Monte-Carlo S.B.M. Group, allowing participants to grab a bite at any time.
