54th International Bouquet Competition - October 7 and 8, 2023 - Riva Tunnel (8, Quai Antoine-Ier - Monaco)
Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and presided over by H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, the theme of the 54th International Bouquet Competition will be: "The Circus Festival", in tribute to the centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III.
Organised by the Garden Club of Monaco, the event will be held on 7 and 8 October 2023 in the Riva Tunnel on Quai Antoine Ier in Monaco.
Participants from all over Europe are expected to compete by creating imaginative, floral arrangements which are considered authentic works of art.
Seven categories are "free" and open to all, amateurs and professionals, decorators, and teachers, with the exception of the "youth" category reserved for children aged 6 to 14:
1. Trapeze artists
2. Contortionists
3. Equilibrists
4. Magic
5. Acrobatics and porcelain
6. Circus animals
7. Clowns
Two judging panels will vote on the submitted entries:
- The “special” panel of judges presided over by H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover is made up of leading figures from the world of literature and the arts and will award special prizes.
- The "official" panel, made up of judges, teachers, international authors, and floral art specialists, will award the gold, silver and bronze insignia and the general grand prize, in addition to the Princess Grace of Monaco Prize.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday, 7 October from 6pm to 7:30pm, and on Sunday, October 8, from 9:30am to 6pm.
