Covid-19 : Five New Positive Cases and Fifteen Recoveries on Monday 5 April

Five new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Monday 5 April.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 2,334 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

This evening, 28 people are being treated at the CHPG:  22 patients, six of whom are residents, are hospitalised. Moreover, this evening, six people, all non-residents, are in intensive care.

Sadly, a 68-year-old resident who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus has died.  This is the 30th death of a resident of the Principality in connection with the Coronavirus since the start of the epidemic.  The Prince's Government extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of this person.  It wishes to assure them of its full support at this time of sorrow.

Today, there are 15 further recoveries to be noted.  The total number of people who have recovered thus amounts to 2190.

This Tuesday evening, 64 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to people with mild symptoms, who are invited to self isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.
