COVID-19:11 new positive cases and 10 recoveries on Tuesday 6 April

Eleven new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Tuesday 6 april.

Since the beginning of the health crisis, there have been a total of 2,345 coronovirus cases in the Principality.

This evening, 27 patients are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital, 7 of whom are residents. 7 no residents are in intensive care. 

Ten further recoveries have been reported today, bringing the total number of people who have so far recovered to 2200.

This Tuesday evening, 60 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-Up Centre, which offers medical support to those with minor symptoms who are asked to self-isolate at home.

In accordance with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this area, this daily update reports coronavirus cases among residents only.

The Prince’s Government also releases figures relating to testing. These figures include data up to yesterday, Sunday 4 April, inclusive.

-     Number of tests carried out on residents and non-residents between 29/3 and 04/04 inclusive: 4,586 PCR and antigen tests.

-     Positivity rate of tests carried out on residents and non-residents: 3,77%

-     Incidence rate, i.e. the number of positive tests per 100,000 people over the past seven days: 184.2 (last week: 226.3).
