Joint action for International Women’s Day
The Women’s Rights Committee is joining forces with partners and stakeholders committed to women’s causes in Monaco to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March 2024 at the Espace Léo Ferré. The event will take place from 9 am to 8 pm and will highlight the Principality’s ongoing commitment to women’s rights.
“We strive to show how Monaco stands united for women’s rights. ‘PowHer’ promotes the current and upcoming initiatives of our partners in the Principality. The event will span a full day, in a special location, for a common cause. It will be a wonderful celebration that is open to all”, explained Céline Cottalorda, Monaco’s Chief Women’s Rights Officer.
The Committee has invited associations and partners to take part in the event via stands, conferences, round table discussions and interactive workshops that address women’s rights in four areas: education, health, sport and employment.
A wish tree will also be installed, on which participants can add a message in support of women’s rights.
The event will close with two concerts and a new sound and light show.
Entry is free and open to all throughout the day.
