Neighbourhood mini rubbish dumps
To make disposing of Special Household Waste (SHW) easier and help protect the environment, the SMA, in partnership with the Prince's Government, has set up a mobile mini rubbish dump in different neighbourhoods around Monaco.
Inaugurated on Quai Antoine I on 7-8 March as part of MonaCollecte, the mobile mini dump service operates one Saturday per month between 9 am and 1 pm in a different neighbourhood of the Principality.
Rather than travel far, the rubbish dump now comes to you
This free service for households is designed to make recycling easier and reduce the risks associated with the extended storage of hazardous products.
Waste is collected by an SMA team for safe and ecological processing. The team can answer questions about waste and distributes documentation, pre-collection bags and dog waste bags.
The following types of waste are not collected for safety reasons or due to lack of space:
- Gas canisters
- Fire extinguishers
- DASRI (infectious healthcare waste)
- Green waste
- Rubble
- Bulky waste (existing door-to-door collection service available by appointment)
- Household waste, recyclable household packaging, and glass (existing public collection service)
