Continuation of rockfill work on Larvotto beach
Due to recent poor weather conditions that caused strong swells, work that began on 2 January in Larvotto to install geotubes and eco-designed rockfill had to be suspended temporarily for safety reasons and to protect the marine environment.
As a result, operations initially scheduled to finish on Wednesday 30 April will continue for an additional week until Wednesday 7 May (included).
To ensure the safety of beachgoers, sea bathing and diving will be prohibited until this date in the affected areas as indicated on the following map.
Beach area restaurants and shops remain open with no restrictions.
Carried out from 6 am to 10 pm, this work will protect Larvotto beach and stabilise the coastline to meet safety requirements for access to swimming areas.
