A diploma awards ceremony was held yesterday morning for successful 2018 graduates of the Institute of Nursing Training Institute (I.F.S.I.), in the presence of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, the Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Didier Gamerdinger, and many dignitaries.

Of the 30 candidates in the 2015-2018 year group, 21 completed the three years of training, with an overall average of 15/20.  Two other students will be presented to the final jury next December.  The highest-ranking student was Marjorie Baldachino, with an average of 16.55/20 over her three years of study.

Monique Le Du, Director of the I.F.S.I., highlighted the importance of the daily support provided by the teaching staff, the quality of the tutoring provided in the CHPG's care services, and the aspect of companionship during the training - "Supporting trainees and young graduates is often a difficult task, and yet it is one of the ten nursing skills and a duty enshrined in the nurses' code of ethics.  The transmission of knowledge between generations and the sharing of older people's expertise for the benefit of beginners is fundamental for integration and for developing skills."
