On Monday 8 October 2018, Muriel Bubbio, the Committee's Head of the Committee for Graduate Employment, invited the press for a presentation on the action taken and the objectives that are being implemented for the coming year.  The C.I.D. was founded in February 2010 with the aim of creating links between students, higher education graduates and the business world in the Principality:  "informing, planning ahead and supporting young people in the access to employment process is the Commission's primary mission," explained Muriel Bubbio.  The C.I.D. thus supports its action by:

Consolidating links between careers advice/access to employment:

  • with Workshops for Careers Advice Counsellors and the C.I.E.N. in partnership with the D.E.N.J.S., also aimed at professionals,
  • at a major annual event, the Access to Employment Panels, on 6 March 2019, at the Rainier III Auditorium, on the theme of "The Digital Revolution, Towards New Professions,"
  • by taking part in the "Careers Agora," organised by the DENJS for high school students (on 22/01/2019).
  • Providing information on an ongoing, regular basis to high school students from Year 11 onwards and university students on sectors that generate jobs in the Principality.  With one aim – to enable students to find employment that corresponds to their profile by ensuring they are well informed about the sectors that generate jobs in the Principality;  and by enabling them to make contact with the Head of the Committee for Graduate Employment at any time on digital platforms that reflect the behaviour of young people in 2018.  A choice of digital tools is available to students:
    • a dedicated mailbox:  cid@gouv.mc ,
    • dedicated pages on social networks (Facebook and LinkedIn),
    • digital registration on the "weezevent" platform, inviting students to meet with the C.I.D. in addition, an Advisory Service, offered regularly in high schools by the Head of Access to Employment, flyers and other promotional materials made available to young people by the Department of Education, Youth and Sport (Study Grants Section), the Academic Counselling and Education Resource Centre, Youth Employment Unit, etc.

According to Didier Gamerdinger, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, "young people must be able to take into account the sectors that provide jobs in the Principality when choosing their studies."

The C.I.D. in figures, since March 2018

More than 100 individualised interviews, 15 new C.I.D. partner companies, 19 work experience opportunities, 18 first jobs, three workshops for companies and education professionals, plus an advisory service in 18 high schools as from 22 October 2018.
