A Tribute to the Women of the Administration - Today, 8 March 2018
Today, Thursday 8 March 2018, the international community is celebrating International Women's Day, which was initiated by the United Nations in 1975 with the aim of promoting women's rights and their social recognition.
This year, H. E. the Minister of State, Serge Telle, represented by the Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Didier Gamerdinger, has chosen to pay tribute to female administrative staff who have 20 years of service, as well as the new recruits of 2017. "A different approach to the administration, making it possible to share professional experience in a convivial atmosphere," explained the Minister in his speech, reaffirming the prominent role of women in modern society and in the Principality.
He was keen to remind his guests of their important role in the Public Service, adding: "you are a major part of the Administration, in every sense of the word. Some of you already have great responsibilities, and those of you who have just joined the administration can also legitimately aspire to this."
