After six months of work, the Residents' Section of the Police Department has just reopened – this department, comprised of 13 civil servants, is the first point of entry for people moving to the Principality.  In addition to issuing residency permits, it is also responsible for certifying administrative documents and dealing with lost and found items.

During their visit, Mr. Gilles Tonelli, who is temporarily responsible for the duties of the Minister of State, Mr. Patrice Cellario, Minister of Interior and Ms. Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, were able to note the quality of the work carried out, which is part of the modernisation plan for the reception service of administrative departments.

It should be mentioned that the Residents' Section welcomes 100 to 150 people every day.
