The beach prepares for the start of the summer season: reprofiling work planned between 25 April and 13 May

With the summer season approaching, to guarantee the best possible conditions for the many users of the Larvotto beach resort, reprofiling work will be carried out between 25 April and 13 May, to reduce the slope of the beach which became considerably steeper during the winter.

This intervention, carried out exclusively onshore, involves levelling the gravel mound to give the beach a more suitable shape, ensuring there is sufficient space to accommodate users and secure access to bathing areas.

To respect the balance of marine biodiversity present at the site, retention nets measuring 120 metres each will also be installed on the water, perpendicular to the coves. They will preserve the adjacent reserve of sediment generated by the reprofiling. These nets can only be installed at times when the sea conditions are relatively calm, and this marine protection measure must be taken before work is carried out. General reprofiling will be done prior to every summer season, to prepare the beach.

To protect users, access to the beach and the sea will be subject to the following restrictions during the work, from 25 April to 13 May:

From Monday to Friday:

- The beach will be closed to the public between 5 am and 12 pm,

- Access to shops and restaurants in the resort will remain open at the usual times,

- The beach will be open to the public from 12 pm,

- Bathing will not be permitted for members of the general public (only supervised school or extra-curricular activities will be allowed).

On Saturdays and Sundays:

- The beach will be open to the public at the usual times,

- Bathing will not be permitted for members of the general public (only supervised school or extra-curricular activities will be allowed),

- Access to shops and restaurants in the resort will remain open at the usual times.

In the future, and in order to maintain the width and gentle slope of the beach, regular maintenance will be carried out throughout the season. This will not involve the beach being closed or bathing prohibited.
