Traditional Consular Meeting in Monaco
The Minister of State, Serge Telle, brought the consular meeting held on Wednesday 20 November and organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation to a close. After expressing the gratitude of the Prince's Government and the entire Principality to the diplomats present, he stated, "We are at the heart of the great movements of this world and we are providing them with original answers. To do so, we must constantly strengthen our links with all those who are working for good in this world. That's why we need you."
Every year, after National Day, this event brings together members of the Monegasque Diplomatic Corps and the Honorary Consuls of Monaco who are active on all continents, in order to present various topical issues in the Principality to them.
Laurent Anselmi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, highlighted the Ministry's key activities. The speakers included Guillaume Rose, Executive Director General of the Monaco Economic Board, who presented the schedule of activities undertaken in conjunction with the Ambassadors and Consuls, followed by H.E. Mr Robert Fillon, Ambassador of Monaco to Italy and President of the Prince Albert I Commemoration Committee, who reported on the events organised by the Executive Committee.
As a reminder, the Principality currently has 138 active Consulates in 80 States.
