Official Inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of Monaco in Ancona
The Honorary Consulate of the Principality of Monaco in Ancona, Italy, in the Region of Le Marche, was inaugurated on 13 March 2018.
To celebrate this event, Professor Giovanni Puoti, Consul of Monaco, who was appointed recently, organised a reception, to which representatives of the civil and military authorities, as well as Consuls from other countries present in the region, were invited.
H.E. Mr. Robert Fillon, Ambassador of Monaco to Italy, spoke on behalf of the Monegasque Authorities and conveyed a message from Mr. Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, in which he recalled the importance of the consular network in making the Principality known abroad and stimulating linkages in the fields of economics, culture and tourism.
This inauguration was followed by the official appointment of Monaco's three new Business Tourism Ambassadors for the Region of Le Marche. This project is led by Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority, with the active support of the Italian Embassy. Its aim, in particular, is to develop partnership activities in the field of events with an economic purpose. The project was presented to all the participants at the event.
The day came to a close with a round table – during which representatives of local employers, professional associations, elected representatives and others took part – in the course of which Mr. Diego Bonaventura gave a presentation, on behalf of the Monaco Economic Board, on investment opportunities in the Principality, the regulations for setting up businesses in Monaco and the tax system resulting from the agreements between Monaco and Italy.
The Consulate of Monaco in Ancona covers the Italian Regions of Le Marche, Lazio and Molise.
