Monaco attends the 127th Ministerial Session of the Council of Europe
Mr. Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Rémi Mortier, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Monaco to the Council of Europe and Mr. Gabriel Revel, Deputy to the Permanent Representative, took part in the 127th Ministerial Session of the Council of Europe.
This meeting, which was held on 19 May in Nicosia, brought together the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the 47 member states.
In his speech, Gilles Tonelli addressed the many issues that the Ministers have debated during their work, in particular those concerning the defence of shared European values in the face of terrorism; ensuring the long-term effectiveness of the system of the European Convention on Human Rights; protecting refugee and migrant children and combating violent extremism and radicalisation leading to terrorism.
During this meeting, the Guidelines on protecting victims of terrorism and the Action Plan on protecting refugee and migrant children were adopted by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
