The Little Singers of Monaco began their tour of Asia in China this year. They were welcomed by H.E. Ms Catherine Fautrier, Monaco’s Ambassador to China, for three performances in Beijing.

The first was held on Friday 8 July in the well-known, prestigious Forbidden City Concert Hall. The performance, before a packed auditorium (1,500 tickets were sold several weeks in advance), was a huge success, and the Little Singers enjoyed a particularly warm reception from the audience on this, their fifth visit to China.

The Monegasque Ambassador invited a number of officials from the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) to attend the event as, following in the footsteps of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo and the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Little Singers made their contribution to cementing the Principality’s reputation in the Chinese capital.
