Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Tajikistan
The Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Tajikistan have established diplomatic relations, by the signature, on 13 January 2017, of a Joint Communiqué.
This document was signed by H.E. Mr. Claude Cottalorda, Ambassador of Monaco to France and H.E. Mr. Homidjon Narov, Ambassador of Tajikistan to France, both of whom were mandated by their respective Governments.
The ceremony, in which diplomats from both Embassies took part, was held at the Monegasque Chancery in Paris.
Both Ambassadors welcomed the opening of diplomatic relations and hoped that these relations would be followed by development in the economic, cultural, sporting and environmental fields.
They shared their experiences of subjects of common interest, such as managing water resources and tourism, areas that could be developed through bilateral cooperation.
The Republic of Tajikistan is the 133rd State to establish diplomatic relations with the Principality of Monaco.
