Diplomacy – Accreditation Kosovo - Czech Republic - Qatar - Uruguay

On Thursday 22 June 2017, at a lunch held at the Hermitage Hotel, Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, received H.E. Mr. Qëndrim Gashi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kosovo;  H.E. Mr. Petr Drulak, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic;  H.E. Dr. Khalid Bin Rashid Salem Al-Mansouri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar and H.E. Mr. Guillaume Dighiero Arrarte, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, who presented their Letters of Credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince during the morning.

H.E. Mr. Qëndrim Gashi is the Founder of the Kosovo Mathematical Society.  In 2011, he was appointed Foreign Affairs Advisor to the President of the Republic, before becoming, successively, a member of the Board of Directors of the Pro Credit Kosovo Bank, the Kosovo-American Education Fund and the State Council on Quality.

After several years at the Institute of International Relations, of which he became Director in 2004, H.E. Mr. Petr Drulak joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in 2014, where he served as Deputy Minister, Political Secretary and Director of the Minister's Cabinet.

H.E. Dr. Khalid Bin Rashid Salem Al-Mansouri joined the Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA in 1987 and the Department of Information and Research in 1998, where he advanced in his career before being appointed Acting Director in 2001.  He then served successively as Coordinator for Defence Affairs at the MFA, Director of European and American Affairs, Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Director of European Affairs.

H.E. Mr. Guillaume Dighiero Arrarte is a Doctor of Medicine, Science and Human Biology.  He has pursued a career in science and medicine, notably as Research Director at the CNRS in 1992, Head of the Department of Physiopathology and then Executive Director of the Pasteur Institute, where he was promoted to Ambassador in 2015.  He is the founder of the Uruguayan Society of Haematology
