Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Korea
The 10th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Korea was celebrated in Monaco on 4 May 2017.
A hight level concert of traditional Korean music was performed to a large audience in the Rainier III Auditorium by the National Orchestra of Korea, which is entirely comprised of traditional Korean instruments. The Orchestra had travelled from Seoul for the occasion.
Following the concert, a reception featuring Korean and Monegasque specialties was provided for the guests, who had an opportunity to talk to the musicians.
Among those present at this event were Mr. Patrice Cellario, Minister of Interior, representing the Prince's Government, H.E. Mr. Chul-min Mo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Monaco and his staff, H.E. Mr. Claude Cottalorda, Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco to France, and Ms. Isabelle Rosabrunetto, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
Mr. Daniel Boéri, President of the Culture and Heritage Commission of the National Council, also attended this commemoration.
This event highlights the excellent relations between the two States.
The Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Korea established diplomatic relations on 14 June 2007, the date on which H.E. Mr. Il-hwan Cho, the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Monaco, presented his Letters of Credence.
