Celebrating International Francophonie Day in Berlin
To celebrate International Francophonie Day, embassies and representations accredited in Germany from countries which share the French language organised a “Festival of Francophonies 2019” at the Centre Français in Berlin on Saturday 30 March. The theme was “Our Inclusive Cultures”.
Open to pupils and their families, teachers, and the general public in Berlin, this grand festival, co-chaired in 2019 by Switzerland and Burkina Faso, offered an opportunity to discover the richness and diversity of the French-speaking world through workshops, concerts, meetings and presentation stands.
As in previous years, Monaco’s Embassy in Germany presented an information stand on the Principality to the large numbers of people who attended. Brochures and souvenirs from the Oceanographic Museum and the Tourist and Convention Authority were handed out, helping to showcase Monaco.
