Association of Honorary Consuls of Monaco holds plenary meeting
The Association of Honorary Consuls of Monaco (AHCM) today held its second plenary meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. The meeting was attended by H.E. Mr Serge Telle, Minister of State, Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Patrice Cellario, Minister of the Interior, the ambassadors of France, Italy and the Order of Malta, and numerous other personalities.
Following an opening address by Moustapha El-Solh, President of the AHCM and Honorary Consul of Lebanon, Gilles Tonelli gave an update on negotiations between Monaco and the European Union.
Patrice Cellario then discussed the security measures which have been put in place in Monaco. Finally, Rear Admiral Dominique Riban, Director of the Monaco Cyber Security Agency, talked about preventing, detecting and dealing with cyber-attacks.
The Minister of State drew the meeting to a close.
The AHCM was established in 2003 at the behest of Prince Rainier III, with the aim of bringing together the foreign consular corps accredited to Monaco and facilitating the integration of new honorary consuls on their appointment to the Principality.
The Association currently has 81 honorary consul members.
