Accreditation of the Personal Representative of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and the Prince's Government to the Permanent Council of La Francophonie
On Thursday 18 April 2019, at the headquarters of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) in Paris, H.E. Mr. Christophe Steiner, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Principality of Monaco to France, personally delivered a letter to H.E. Ms. Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of La Francophonie, appointing him as Personal Representative of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and the Prince's Government to the Permanent Council of La Francophonie.
During his audience with H.E. Ms. Mushikiwabo, H.E. Mr. Steiner reaffirmed the commitment of the Principality of Monaco to the OIF and its values and actions.
This commitment will be all the more tangible this year, as the Principality of Monaco is to host the 36th session of the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie (CMF) on 30 and 31 October 2019. This will be preceded by a session of the Permanent Council of La Francophonie.
H.E. Ms. Mushikiwabo expressed her willingness to work with the Principality of Monaco, particularly with regard to ongoing discussions on the future of the OIF and the reforms under way within the Organization.
