3rd Monaco Week in China Chengdu - 28 May to 4 June 2016

A Monaco delegation, headed by H.E. Ms. Catherine Fautrier, Ambassador of Monaco to China, travelled to Chengdu, the literal meaning of which is "capital of success," for the 3^rd Monaco Week, which took place from 28 May to 4 June 2016. Following Beijing and Shanghai, Chengdu, which is a veritable showcase for economic success in China, was the perfect place to promote the Principality to a Chinese clientele with high purchasing power.

On Thursday 2 June 2016, Monaco Tourist Authority, Monaco Yacht Show, the Yacht Club and the Société de Bains de Mer gave a presentation on "Destination Monaco," with a focus on yachting, to 80 Chinese dignitaries and directors, in the Eco City LuxeLakes (a prestigious 560-hectare building complex). On this occasion, Olivier Wenden, Director General of the Prince Albert II Foundation, recalled the Principality's commitment to protecting the environment. The various speeches were enjoyed by the guests, who showed particularly interest in hearing about the advantages of the Principality.
