The "Young Philosophers" Days - From Wednesday 8 to Saturday 11 May 2019
The Monaco Philosophical Meetings, presided over by Charlotte Casiraghi and organised by Joseph Cohen, Robert Maggiori and Raphael Zagury-Orly, are holding a new event in the Principality, the "Young Philosophers" Days, from 8 to 11 May 2019. These Days are open to all, and aim in particular to familiarise young people with philosophy, raise awareness, and make philosophy accessible to young people.

New National Museum of Monaco - Villa Sauber
Presentation of creations made by children at philosophical workshops on the theme of "The Human," led by teachers from the last year of nursery schools in Monaco, in conjunction with the Department of Education, Youth and Sport.
- Thursday 9 May, 7 p.m./9 p.m.
Princess Grace Theatre
A new theatrical work, "Le Poète et le philosophe" ("The Poet and the Philosopher"), inspired by "Orpheus" by Jean Cocteau and "The Apology of Socrates" by Plato," created with the support of the Department of Education, Youth and Sport in association with Les Rencontres théâtrales Jean Cocteau (Jean Cocteau Theatrical Encounters). The performance will be followed by a dialogue with Robert Maggiori, philosopher and founding member of the Monaco Philosophical Meetings.

A talk, "Adolescences," presented by Claire Chazal, journalist and author, with Hakima Aït el Cadi, sociologist, Manuella de Luca, psychiatrist and Director of the magazine Adolescence and Claire Marin, philosopher, teacher and Director of the Philophile collection at Gallimard.
From 15 € (free for students and those under 25 years old, proof of age required). All profits will be donated to the Jeune j'écoute association (www.jeunejecoute.mc ).

Monaco's Vocational and Catering School (Lycée Technique et Hôtelier)
Round table on "How Philosophy Thinks of Childhood," presented by Raphael Zagury-Orly, philosopher and founding member of the Monaco Philosophical Meetings, with philosophers Paul Audi, André Charrak and Pierre Guenancia.

- Monaco's Vocational and Catering School (Lycée Technique et Hôtelier)
Round table entitled "Read, Grow, Think," presented by Edwige Chirouter, holder of the UNESCO Chair "Practices of Philosophy with Children," with Nicole Lambert, author and creator of comics and Claire Marin, philosopher, teacher and Director of the Philophile collection at Gallimard.
In association with the Department of Education, Youth and Sport and teachers from schools in Monaco, guest philosophers will be in residence at secondary schools on Thursday 9 May and at high schools on Friday 10 May, and also at Monaco's Vocational and Catering School (Lycée Technique et Hôtelier).
A philosophical magazine, produced with the children and teachers of seven primary classes, will be published at the time of the "Young Philosophers" Days.
On this occasion, the book "Enfance et violence" ("Childhood and Violence") by Charlotte Casiraghi and Boris Cyrulnik, published by Les Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco following a lecture given in February 2018 at the Princess Grace Theatre in Monaco, will also be published.
The certification of the UNESCO Chair on the "Practice of Philosophy with Children" was awarded to the Monaco Philosophical Meetings in 2019.
