The New National Museum of Monaco was Present at FLAT, the Fiera Libro Arte Torino

The New National Museum of Monaco took part in the second FLAT event (an Art Book Fair), held in Turin from 2 to 4 November 2018. 

Taking part in this unmissable art book fair was an opportunity for the NMNM, as a publisher, to present a selection of its books designed with and by artists.  Most of these books are now regarded as rarities, including La Carte d'après Nature, Designing Dreams, A Celebration of Leon Bakst and Monacopolis. 

At this event, the Museum also presented limited editions of a publication produced in connection with Cloak, a 2016 extra-mural installation by Mike Nelson at the premises of UBS Monaco S.A.  A copy of this publication now forms part of the Giorgio Maffei collection, held at the GAM in Turin, as it was acquired by the selection committee of the Fondazione CRT, alongside 58 other publications, in the context of the Fair. 

Book publishing is a major activity of the museum;  it helps to make its exhibitions and collection known and promote its image at an international level.
