The 46th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival and the 11th New Generation - From Friday, 19 to Sunday, 28 January 2024

The centenary of Prince Rainier III

and 50 years of the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival

Fifty years! The Monte Carlo International Circus Festival will be celebrating its prestigious anniversary in 2024, and it's set to be a joyous and exciting occasion!

The centenary of Prince Rainier III brings back memories of his deep passion for the circus, an affection that inspired the launch of this Circus Festival in 1974, primarily devoted to supporting circus families.

A Festival in Monaco that aims to give this unique art form unrivalled status and recognition.

The Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival has become one of the world's most prestigious festivals, with the Golden Clown, the highest award, being the most coveted among artists.

This year is particularly special as we celebrate the festival’s 50th anniversary (1974-2024). This 46th edition of the festival will be all about enchantment, featuring some of the most spectacular performances in acrobatics, comedy, and animals. which, as Prince Rainier III always pointed out, are the three pillars of circus art.

The celebrations will soon begin with a remarkable circus exhibition, 'The Prince at the Heart of the Circus', to be held from 22 November 2023 until 28 January 2024 at the former Automobile Museum (Terrasses de Fontvieille - 25-29 Avenue Albert II - Monaco / Free admission).

Another highlight to kick off the festival will be an extraordinary circus parade through the town, starting from the Chapiteau in Fontvieille and heading towards the Prince's Palace square on the afternoon of Saturday, 13 January 2024, followed by a grand Open-Air show in front of the Prince's Palace (more information to follow in an upcoming press release).

Come one, come all to celebrate and enjoy the Monte-Carlo Circus Festival in honour of Prince Rainier III.

Long live the circus!
