Rosa Barba, Winner of the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation's Contemporary Art Prize, at the São Paolo Biennale
Rosa Barba's new film, "Disseminate and Hold," has just been screened for the first time at the 2016 São Paulo Biennale. It will be presented in connection with the Biennale's exhibition "Live Uncertainty" (10 September - 11 December 2016).
Rosa Barba was named winner of the 2016 International Contemporary Art Prize (PIAC) for her work "Subconscious Society, a Feature," 2014. The artist was awarded a prize of EUR 20,000, as well as the sum of EUR 20,000 for the production of a new work.
This new project, "Disseminate and Hold," made under the supervision of the Artistic Director of the International Art Prize, Lorenzo Fusi, studies man-made geography and artificial landscapes and how these are often linked to political agendas and utopian visions of society.
As a reminder, the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation's (FPP's) Contemporary Art Prize is awarded by an artistic jury, under the Presidency of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover.
The Prince Pierre Foundation winners will be announced
On Tuesday 4 October 2016 at 8 p.m. in the Salle Garnier.
