Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation - May 2017
The Literary Council of the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation met at the Grand Véfour in Paris to draw up a shortlist of authors for the Literary Prize, which recognises a renowned French-speaking writer for the whole of his or her work. The jury selected:
Annie Ernaux
Maurizio Serra
Michel Tremblay
Also selected for the "Discovery Grant," a prize awarded to a French author for a first work of fiction, were:

Cédric Gras, Anthracite - Stock, August 2016
Frédéric Gros, Possédées (Possessed) - Albin Michel, August 2016
Néhémy Pierre-Dahomey, Rapatriés (Repatriated) - Seuil, January 2017
Blandine Rinkel, L’abandon des pretentions (Abandoning Pretensions) - Fayard, January 2017
All of these works will be part of the Reading Marathon, which will be launched on Wednesday 21 June 2017 at the Multimedia Library of Monaco.
The Literary Prize and the Discovery Grant will be announced on Thursday 5 October, in Monaco.
