Presentation of the Princess Grace Theatre's 2017/2018 Season
The Princess Grace Theatre's 2017-2018 season has just been announced by Françoise Gamerdinger, Deputy Director of Cultural Affairs, in the presence of Patrice Cellario, Minister of Interior and Jean-Charles Curau, Director of Cultural Affairs. The season will feature no less than 28 shows and performances by many renowned actors, including Pierre Arditi, Jacques Weber, Fanny Ardant, Daniel Mesguich, Chantal Ladesou, Laetitia Casta, Patrick Timsit, Niels Arestrup, Kad Merad and many others.
The season will open on Tuesday 26 September with "L'être ou pas" ("Being or Not Being")* with Pierre Arditi and Daniel Russo.
Highlights include "Edmond" by Alexis Michalik, winner of 5 Molière awards in 2017; "Croque Monsieur," with Fanny Ardant, who is taking over from Jacqueline Maillant after many years; and, in association with the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation, "Vient de paraître" ("Just Published"), with Jean-Paul Bordes, who won the 2017 Molière award for an actor in a supporting role.
Additionally this year, for one week, Thomas Le Douarec will be in residence at the Theatre. He will adapt and stage "L'Idiot" ("The Idiot") by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, which the audience in Monaco will discover on Monday 7 May 2018 at 8.30 pm.
The programme will close on 17 May 2018 with "Les fous ne sont plus ce qu'ils étaient" ("Fools Aren't What They Were") after Raymond Devos, with Elliot Jenicot from the Comédie Française.
