The Garden Club of Monaco has announced the winners of the 55th International Bouquet Competition, held this morning in a beautiful and creative effervescence!

Under the high patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and chaired by H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, the competition focused on the theme of “Seas and Oceans”.

“This year, the competition reminds us of the precious beauty and secrets of the seas and oceans and of the absolute necessity to maintain a balance. With so many participants this year, what better way to address this subject – so dear to H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco and H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover – than to work with the wonders of flowers and their colours?” commented Cecilia Fossa Casiraghi, Vice-Chair of the Garden Club of Monaco.

The theme-related categories were open to all competitors – amateurs and professionals, decorators and teachers – with the exception of the youth category, open to children aged 6 to 14:

1.            Vintage sail boats: large size

2.            A coral reef: on a base

3.            A fishing net: a niche

4.            A storm at sea: on a pedestal

5.            Ice floes or icebergs: a niche

6.            Lunch on board: table décor

7.            The Beach (youth category): a niche

Special prizes were awarded by the “Special Jury", chaired by H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover and composed of prominent literary and artistic figures.
