PRINCE PIERRE OF MONACO FOUNDATION Press Release No. 5
The Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation will announce its 2018 Prizewinners on Thursday 4 October 2018. This year, the master of ceremonies will be writer and journalist Arnaud Merlin, a producer at France Musique.
The following will be awarded:
- Young Music Fans' Favourite Choice
- The Musical Composition Prize
- The Literary Prize
- The Discovery Grant
- The High School Students' Favourite Choice
- The Prize for a Critical Essay on Contemporary Art
- The Principality's Prize, awarded jointly by the Philosophical Meetings and the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation
At the ceremony, the audience will be able to hear an excerpt from the work "A Mind of Winter," composed by George Benjamin, winner of the 2015 Musical Composition Prize. This excerpt will be performed by Yeree Suh, soprano and the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Kazuki Yamada.
Finally, a tribute will be paid to René de Obaldia, an honorary member of the Literary Council, on the occasion of his 100th birthday.
The Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation Prizewinners will be announced
on Thursday 4 October 2018, at 8 p.m., in the Salle Garnier
(Admission free subject to the availability of seats)
