COVID-19: The Prince's Government Calls for the Utmost Caution

One new positive case of COVID-19 was identified on Monday 14 June.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 2,526 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

This evening, three patients, who are non-resident, are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital:  two people are hospitalised and another person is in intensive care.

The total number of people who have recovered is 2,473.

This Monday evening, 16 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to people with mild symptoms, who are invited to self-isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.

The Prince's Government is also communicating the figures relating to testing. These figures are as of yesterday, Sunday 13 June inclusive.

-         Number of tests carried out on resident and non-resident patients between 7/06 and 13/06 inclusive: 2,869 PCR and antigen tests.

-          Rate of positive tests carried out on residents and non-residents: 0.98 %

-         Incidence rate, i.e. the number of positive Coronavirus cases per 100,000 inhabitants over the past seven days:  44.33 (last week: 10.43).

Do not be misled by a slight decrease;  remain cautious.

In one week, the incidence rate in the Principality has increased fourfold. These figures show that it is necessary to remain extremely cautious and fully adhere to the barrier measures in Monaco and when travelling abroad. It appears that 14 of the cases identified last week have the same origin.

The health measures that are still in force, which may sometimes be felt to be restrictive, are necessary to enable everyone to return to normal activity and normal life as soon as possible.

The Prince's Government calls upon Monegasques and residents who have not yet been vaccinated to contact the call centre to do so (92.05.55.00, open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.) or via the website www.covid19.mc . The Government reminds you that vaccination is now available for anyone over 12 years of age.
