COVID-19: 9 new positive cases and 13 recoveries on Monday 22 March

Since the beginning of the health crisis, there have been a total of 2,182 coronovirus cases in the Principality.

This evening, 31 patients are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital, 11 of whom, including 4 residents, are in intensive care. Ten of the other 20 patients in hospital are also residents.

Thirteen further recoveries have been reported today, bringing the total number of people who have so far recovered to 2020.

This Monday evening, 56 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-Up Centre, which offers medical support to those with minor symptoms who are asked to self-isolate at home.

In accordance with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this area, this daily update reports coronavirus cases among residents only.

The Prince’s Government also releases figures relating to testing. These figures include data up to yesterday, Sunday 21 March, inclusive.

-     Number of tests carried out on residents and non-residents between 15/3 and 21/3 inclusive: 4,215 PCR and antigen tests.

-     Positivity rate of tests carried out on residents and non-residents: 4.39%

-     Incidence rate, i.e. the number of positive tests per 100,000 people over the past seven days: 173.6 (last week: 221.5).
