COVID-19: 27 new positive cases and 34 recoveries on Saturday 23 April

Twenty-seven new positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded on Saturday 23 April.

This brings the Principality’s total coronavirus cases since the beginning of the health crisis to 11,604.

We also regret to announce the death of an 82-year-old resident who had tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 health crisis, 57 residents have died after being infected by the virus.

The Prince’s Government offers its heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased resident and assures them of its full support at this difficult time.

This evening, 32 people, including 13 residents, are receiving in-patient care at Princess Grace Hospital. There are no patients in intensive care.

Thirty-four further recoveries have been reported, bringing the total number of people who have so far recovered to 11,362.

This Saturday evening, 140 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-Up Centre, which offers medical support to those with minor symptoms who are asked to self-isolate at home.

In accordance with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this area, this daily update reports coronavirus cases among residents only.
