COVID-19: 11 New Positive Cases and 10 Recoveries on Wednesday 24 March

Eleven new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Wednesday 24 March.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 2,210 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

This evening, 34 people are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital:  25 patients, 15 of whom are residents, are hospitalised. Moreover, this evening, 9 people, 3 of whom are residents, are in intensive care.

Today, there are ten further recoveries to be noted. The total number of people who have recovered thus amounts to 2,040. 

Sadly, the death has been announced of a resident, who was in their 74.  This is the 28 death of a resident of the Principality link to the coronavirus since the beginning of the epidemic.  The Prince's Government would like to express its full support to the family and friends of this person.

This Wednesday evening, 65 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to people with mild symptoms, who are invited to self-isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.
