IMSEE presents economic benefits of Grand Prix
This morning Lionel Galfré, Director of the Monegasque Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (IMSEE), presented the results of a study on the economic benefits of the 2017 Grand Prix at a breakfast meeting organised by the Monaco Economic Board (MEB).
It should be recalled that the economic benefits of the 2017 Formula 1 Grand Prix reached 90 million euros in Monaco over a period of four days and within an area of two square kilometres.
These numbers confirm, moreover, that the Formula 1 Grand Prix is the most important event held in the Principality, whose economic benefits far exceed the four days of the event and Monaco’s borders alone.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the IMSEE Director to discuss the key economic indicators for 2017 and to present the 2018 edition of the statistical bulletin Monaco in Figures.
