Practical Traffic Arrangements for the Saint Devota's Day Celebrations on Thursday 26 January 2017

©Direction de la Communication

In view of the celebrations for Saint Devota's Day on Thursday 26 January 2017, the following measures have been taken with regard to traffic:

-        from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Avenue du Président J.F. Kennedy and the Route de la Piscine will be closed to traffic, except the section of the Route de la Piscine between "La Rascasse" and the central jetty;

-        while the procession is taking place at the lower end of the Avenue d’Ostende, traffic will be momentarily halted in the downward lane to enable the participants to circulate in complete safety.

With regard to urban transport (Routes 1-2 and 6) and interurban transport (Routes No. 100 and 110), Monaco Bus Companies wish to inform users that slight delays should be expected during the procession, which is scheduled to take place between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Due to the closure of the Avenue du Président J.F. Kennedy, Route No. 1 (Monaco-Ville/Saint Roman) will be diverted to the Avenue d'Ostende from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The following stops will not be served:  J.F Kennedy, Rainier III Auditorium, Portier, Spélugues, Citronniers and the Place du Casino.

As concerns the impact of the event on public car parks (the Costa and Ostende car parks), information will be provided to users (notices will be placed on the access points to the car parks) by the Public Car Parks Office.

The Administration kindly requests road users to take measures to avoid the sector between the Church of Saint Devota and the Avenue du Président J.F. Kennedy (by the Pattaya), especially between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., and apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused by these festivities.
