Death of Jean-Claude Guibal: Prince’s Government says goodbye to longstanding friend of Principality
It was with great sadness that the Prince’s Government learned of the death of Jean-Claude Guibal, the Mayor of Menton and a longstanding friend of the Principality.
Jean-Claude Guibal was in Monaco a few days ago for the signature of an agreement that, in accordance with the Sovereign Prince’s wishes, mobilises funds to support rebuilding work in the Roya, Vésubie and Tinée valleys following the damage caused by Storm Alex.
On behalf of the Prince’s Government, Minister of State Pierre Dartout said: “Jean-Claude Guibal had a deep love for his city, Menton, and did a lot of work on the issues that link the Principality with the City of Lemons. He was a man of commitment, with a wonderful ability to listen and enormous strength of conviction.”
The Prince’s Government offers its sincerest condolences to the family of Jean-Claude Guibal and to all Menton residents.
