The 7th Monaco E-Prix: How will it affect your travel?

 

This year's Monaco E-Prix will be held on Saturday, 27 April, as part of the FIA's Formula E World Championship (100% electric single-seaters).

As a result, there will be some disruptions to vehicle, bus, and pedestrian traffic and parking.

VEHICLE TRAFFIC

On Saturday, 27 April, from 5am until the end of the races, vehicle traffic will be prohibited on/within:

• Quai des États-Unis**
• Route de la Piscine
• Jules Soccal jetty**
• Darse Sud**
• Boulevard Albert Ier*
• Place du Casino*
• Avenue des Citronniers, up to the entrance to the Métropole* car park
• Avenue Princesse Grace, from Avenue des Spélugues to Boulevard Louis II*
• Avenue J.F. Kennedy*
• Boulevard Louis II*
• Avenue de la Madone, between the intersection with Avenue des Spélugues and Avenue de Grande-Bretagne*
• Avenue de Monte-Carlo*
• Avenue d'Ostende*
• Avenue des Spélugues*
• Quai Albert Ier*
• Quai Antoine Ier*
• Avenue de la Costa, between number 3 and Avenue d'Ostende*
• Rue Grimaldi, between Place Sainte-Dévote and Rue Princesse Florestine*
• Avenue de la Quarantaine*
• Rocher Albert I tunnel
• Rocher Noghès tunnel

In addition, also on 27 April, from 5am until the end of the races, the one-way traffic systems will be reversed on:

• Rue Princesse Florestine, between Rue Suffren Reymond and Rue Grimaldi.
• Avenue du Port, between the Place d'Armes roundabout and the start of Avenue de la Quarantaine.
• Rue Suffren Reymond, between Rue Louis Notari and Rue Princesse Florestine.

Furthermore, on the same day, and at the same time, two-way traffic will be introduced on Rue Grimaldi, between Rue Suffren Reymond and Place d'Armes.

Between 7am on 27 April and midnight on 28 April, all vehicle traffic will be prohibited:

• between Avenue des Papalins and Avenue Albert II (in this direction).
• on Avenue des Papalins, between numbers 13 and 39 (in this direction).

*Pedestrian traffic will also be prohibited on these roads, and Boulevard du Larvotto, between the roundabout leading to Avenue de Grande-Bretagne and Rue Louis Aureglia, and on the Escaliers de la Costa and Sainte-Dévote (except for those holding tickets or passes issued by the Automobile Club de Monaco, local residents with ID and local workers with work permits).

**Pedestrian traffic and vehicle parking will also be prohibited on these roads.

VEHICLE PARKING

In addition to the routes mentioned above, vehicles will be prohibited from parking:

From 7am on 26 April to 9pm on 27 April on/in:

• Avenue de Grande-Bretagne, between Avenue de la Madone and Winston Churchill Square
• Rue Louis Notari
• Ruelle Saint-Jean

From 11pm on 26 April to 9pm on 27 April on/in:

• Avenue Henri Dunant
• Rue du Rocher

From 11pm on 26 April to 27 April until the end of the races on/in:

• Boulevard Albert Ier
• Rue Baron Sainte-Suzanne, along the entire two-wheeler zone (in front of number 3)
• Boulevard Charles III
• Rue Princesse Florestine
• Allée Guillaume Apollinaire
• Avenue du Port, between Place d'Armes and Rue Saige
• Rue Suffren Reymond
• Rue Princesse Antoinette.

From 6am on 26 April to midnight on 28 April on/in:

• Avenue de la Costa, in front of number 27
• Passage de la Porte Rouge
• Avenue de Roqueville
• Boulevard de Suisse, between Avenue de la Costa and Avenue de Roqueville.

MONACO ON ELECTRIC CHARGING STATIONS

The Monaco ON electric vehicle charging points will be closed on 26 and 27 April (evening) on the following routes:

• Rue Grimaldi
• Rue Louis Notari
• Quai des États-Unis
• Avenue de la Quarantaine
• Avenue des Ligures

CAM URBAN BUS TRAFFIC

On 27 April, the following stops will not be served:

Line 1: Monaco Ville <> Saint Roman
Outbound: Place d'Armes, Princesse Stéphanie, Stade Nautique, Princesse Antoinette, Kennedy, Auditorium Rainier III, Portier, Spélugues, Citronniers and Place du Casino.
Return: Monte-Carlo (Casino), Square Beaumarchais, Ostende, Place Sainte Dévote and Princesse Florestine.

Line 2: Monaco Ville <> Jardin Exotique (Parking des Salines)
Outbound: Place d'Armes Av. du Port), Stade Nautique, Princesse Antoinette, Ostende, Terrasses du Casino and Square Beaumarchais.
Return: Monte-Carlo (Casino), Square Beaumarchais, Ostende, Place Sainte Dévote and Princesse Florestine.

Line 3: Fontvieille <> Hector Otto
Outbound: Port de Fontvieille, Stade Nautique, Princesse Antoinette, Place Sainte-Dévote, Princesse Florestine, and Place d’Armes.
Return: Place d'Armes (2) and Princesse Stéphanie.

Line 4: Fontvieille <> Saint-Roman
Outbound: all stops will be served.
Return: Place d'Armes (2) and 'Princesse Stéphanie.

Line 5: Hospital <> Place des Moulins (instead of the Larvotto stop)
Outbound: Place du Casino, Spélugues, Portier, Grimaldi Forum, Plages, Sea Club and Larvotto.
Return: Larvotto, Sea Club, Plages, Grimaldi Forum-Villa Sauber, Portier, Spélugues, Citronniers and Place Casino.

Line 6: Fontvieille <> Larvotto
No service.

Express line X1 (Jardin Exotique / Parking des Salines <> Place d'Armes)
No service.

Express line X2 (Jardin Exotique / Parking des Salines <> Monte-Carlo)
No service.

Express line X3 (Larvotto <> Fontvieille)
No service.

Express line X4 (Saint-Roman <> Fontvieille)
No service.

Special "Circuit" and "Salines" shuttles in service

This year, for all three motor racing events (the 7th Monaco E-Prix, on 27 April - the 14th Grand-Prix de Monaco Historique, from 10 to 12 May - the 81st Formula One Grand Prix de Monaco, from 23 to 26 May), the new Car Park des Salines (1,790 spaces), located at the western entrance to the Principality, will be served by shuttles provided by CAM specifically for spectators.
The outbound "Circuit Shuttle" service and the return "Salines Shuttle" service are free upon presentation of a car park ticket and will run every 10 minutes between 8am and 8pm from the car park to the stop on Avenue Albert II in Fontvieille, just a few minutes walk from the Circuit de Monaco.
Using this car park at the entrance to the city gives easy access to the circuit, avoiding heavy event traffic, at reduced rates.

ZOU! INTERCITY BUS TRAFFIC

From 5am to 6.30pm on 27 April, the following changes can be expected:

Line 600 - Monaco/Menton direction
> The Place d'Armes (Serravalle Tunnel) and Princesse Antoinette stops will not be served; passengers should use the temporary stop that will be set up opposite Place d'Armes in the direction of Nice.
> A pick-up and drop-off point will be set up at Pont Sainte-Dévote.

Line 600 - Nice direction
> The Monte-Carlo (Casino), Sainte-Dévote and Place d'Armes stops will not be served; passengers should use the following substitute stops Crémaillère, Pont Sainte-Dévote and Honoré II.

Line 80 - Monaco/Menton direction
> The Princesse Antoinette stop will not be served; drop-off will be at Pont Sainte-Dévote.
> The Les Spélugues, Grimaldi Forum and Sporting (Bay Hôtel) stops will not be served; drop-offs will be made at Monte-Carlo (Casino) and Place des Moulins.

Line 80 - Airport direction
> Departures from Monaco will be from the Place des Moulins stop.
> The Sporting (Bay Hôtel), Larvotto (Hôtel Méridien) and Grimaldi Forum stops will not be served; passengers should use the Place des Moulins stop.
> The Les Spélugues and Monte-Carlo (Casino) stops will not be served; transfer to Crémaillère.
> The Place Sainte-Dévote station stop will not be served; transfer to Pont Sainte-Dévote.
> The Place d'Armes stop will not be served; transfer to Honoré II.
