On Friday 15 September, the Grimaldi Forum hosted the first Monaco for Employment forum in the presence of H.E. the Minister of State, Pierre Dartout and the Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Christophe Robino.

The employment event, the first of its kind in Monaco and scheduled to be held again in the first quarter of 2024, was an opportunity for job seekers to meet with major companies, trade unions and organisations in Monaco’s financial sector.

Today will no doubt be positive, for companies and job seekers alike. An initiative like this is especially welcome in the current context. We are addressing an indisputable need that requires everyone’s help,” underscored the Minister of State in an opening address at the Forum.

Nearly 150 companies and professional federations took part in the forum, hosted in the Espace Indigo of the Grimaldi Forum and attended by 3,650 visitors (at the time of this press release). With the queue growing over the course of the day, special corners were installed for different activity sectors to bring together employers and candidates. Led by the Employment Office, the Civil Service Human Resources and Training Department, Monaco Social Security Funds, the Committee for Graduate Employment and the Youth Employment Unit, participants were able to share information about employment law in Monaco and provide advice to job candidates.

The following sectors were represented at the first Monaco for Employment Forum:
▪ Banking/Finance/Insurance
▪ Commerce
▪ Accommodation and food service activities
▪ Industry
▪ Construction
▪ Business services (security/cleaning/temporary staffing/accounting, etc.)
▪ Digital / New technologies
▪ Health and social work
▪ Yachting/ Transport / Shipping
▪ Job coaching

We must continue to stimulate employment with the help of promising initiatives such as this Employment Forum and attract as many future employees as possible to the Principality. Many think that they cannot work in Monaco and this Forum today demonstrates the contrary,” said Christophe Robino in a statement to the press.
