High School Students’ Favourite Choice
and Young Music Fans’ Favourite Choice
Keen to get a young audience involved in its prizes, the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation has asked two juries made up of school pupils in the Principality to award the High School Students’ Favourite Choice and the Young Music Fans’ Favourite Choice prizes.
High School Students’ Favourite Choice
Created in 2007 in collaboration with the Department of Education, the High School Students’ Favourite Choice offers a €6,000 prize donated by the Princess Grace Foundation.

Young Music Fans’ Favourite Choice
The Young Music Fans’ Favourite Choice was established in 2011, in collaboration with Monaco’s Prince Rainier III Academy of Music and Theatre and the Department of Education, Youth and Sport. Offering a prize of €6,000 donated by the Princess Grace Foundation, it is awarded each year to a recent musical composition.
Shortlisted works:
Robert HP Platz -Blau See (2014) – For oboe and orchestra
Philipp Maintz - Upon a Moment’s Shallow Rim (2015) – For cello and orchestra
Admir Shkurtaj - Katër I Radës. Il naufragio (2014) – Chamber orchestra
Miroslav Srnka - Move01/Move02 (2015) – For full orchestra
The winners of the Prince Pierre Foundation awards will be announced
on Thursday 5 October 2017 at 8 pm in the Salle Garnier
(entry is free but seats are limited)
