COVID-19: Closure of a Nursery Class (Second Year) at the Ecole du Parc School as a precautionary measure against Covid-19

A pupil at the Ecole du Parc nursery school (second year) tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday 26 January.

The child has been removed from school, in line with the procedure recommended by the Monegasque health authorities.

As PCR tests are not carried out on nursery school pupils, and as these pupils are not required to wear masks due to their young age, the Prince's Government has decided, as a precautionary measure, that all pupils in the class concerned must remain absent from school for a period of ten days.

The parents of the pupils concerned have been directly informed by the school management. They are invited to watch for the appearance of any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 in their child and to isolate their child as much as possible during his or her absence from school.

School staff who have been in contact with the pupil who tested positive for COVID-19 will be given a PCR test, in accordance with the health protocol.

The Ecole du Parc school continues to welcome pupils from other classes, in compliance with the health measures in force.
