Covid-19 : Forty-One New Positive Cases and 18 Recoveries on Saturday 12 March

Forty-one new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Saturday 12 March.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 9,777 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

Sadly, an 82-year-old resident who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus has died.  Since the start of the COVID-19 health crisis, 52 residents have died after contracting the virus.

The Prince's Government extends its most sincere condolences to the family and friends of this person and assures them of its full support at this time of sorrow.

This evening, 17 people are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital:  16 people, ten of whom are residents, are provided in-patient care.  Another patient, who is a resident, is in intensive care.

There are 18 further recoveries to be noted.  The total number of people who have recovered is 9,474.

This Saturday evening, 176 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to people with mild symptoms, who are invited to self-isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.
