Update on economic and employment support measures
CTTR and exemption from employers’ contributions to end on 31 March 2022
Carlo app support will continue until 30 June 2022
Conditions for continuation of home working
With the lifting of the protective health measures that have had an impact on the economy, the strengthened provisions for total temporary layoff (CTTR) and the partial exemption from employers’ contributions, both of which were temporarily reintroduced in mid-January, will come to an end on 31 March 2022.
However, the Government’s support for consumer activity and local traders via the Carlo app is being renewed under the same conditions until 30 June. The State will therefore continue to cover the operating costs for the platform as well as the discounts awarded, which amount to 10.6% of the purchase price.
Home working, which was introduced as part of the COVID-19 health measures, will remain in place until 31 May 2022 for employees in the Principality who live in France.
From 1 June, employers are invited to switch to the teleworking mechanism governed by Act 1.429, dated 4 July 2016, on teleworking. The Department of Employment remains at the disposal of employers to help them validate the introduction of these measures.
Home working will, however, be retained under current conditions for employees living in Italy.
